Meh
I suppose I should post something happy in honor of Thanksgiving, but whatever. This story is awful, which makes sense, because teenagers suck. Later today or tomorrow I’ll post some pictures that are so cute that you brain will explode.

When I’m bored or out of sorts, I like to pop over to Post Secret or SecretTweet and see what kinds of things the people on the internet are sharing anonymously. Sometimes I’m at a loss as to why something has to be posted anonymously, but often I’m like, “Whoa.”
People surprise me every single day.
I love the way French people think. What other nation could give us posthumous weddings? I wonder: does she immediately get to call herself a widow, or is there some sort of waiting period?
Holy crap, y’all! Tim Gunn was Irina’s teacher when she was at Parsons!!! How did I not know this? I know that I haven’t paid a TON of attention to the (later) episodes of this season, but I’m fairly certain that this wasn’t mentioned. I have to say that he did a good job of never looking like he was favoring her, nor of treating her any more severely than the other contestants. I also love that Tim had absolutely no problem naming names regarding contestants who he did find obnoxious: Cat-throwing Kenley, Victoria, and Vincent. I still don’t find this season to be as compelling as previous ones, but I am interested to see who wins this Thursday. The smart money is on Irina or Althea, but I hope that Carol Hannah wins. She’s nice, not insane, and would have adorably spacey babies with Logan.
Sorry for the radio silence. I’m attending a family funeral in East BF, South Carolina, and there’s nothing to talk about. Except how little there is to do here. I’m not actually bored, because it’s been nice to catch up with relatives who I haven’t seen in as many as 15 years and I brought a ton of books and music, but I can see how the effort to entertain myself might start to wear on me soon. Also, why do I find the countryside in other countries charming, but not so much in the US? Canadian boonies? Cute! English boonies? Inspiring. French boonies? Lovely. American boonies? Sad.
Okay, so the less said about the results of last night’s NJ gubernatorial (I do love that word, though) election, the better. But in a followup to something I mentioned last month, Keith Bardwell, that loser justice of the peace who refused to issue a marriage license to an interracial couple, has resigned his post. The couple that he refused to give the license to, Beth Humphrey and Terence McKay, are still going forward with a federal lawsuit that they brought against Bardwell.
